【加州Paso Robles最受矚目的膜拜級酒莊】
酒莊由法國波爾多資深釀酒師Stephan Asseo於1998年創立,以「融合隆河與波爾多品種」的創新混釀風格聞名,屢獲Parker滿分評價。
Stephan Asseo是擁有Burgundy釀酒學位的法國釀酒師,1982年起在波爾多經營酒莊。但受限於法國嚴格的 AOC 法規,渴望更大釀酒自由。于是他攜妻小環球尋找理想產區,足跡遍佈南非、黎巴嫩、美國等地。
他于1998 年定居Paso Robles,創立 L’Aventure,主張「舊世界優雅+新世界濃郁」的平衡風格。酒莊位於Santa Lucia Range西側,佔地約 51.4 公頃,葡萄園環繞酒莊,臨近Templeton Gap,受海洋冷風調節,晝夜溫差可達 40°F,主要種植Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Grenache和Mourvèdr等葡萄品種。
Cote a Cote是酒莊唯一一款以 GSM(Grenache, Mourvedre和Syrah)為框架的旗艦級Rhone Valley風格混釀,2003年首釀,靈感來自法國Rhone Valley的傳統工藝,但用的是加州Paso Robles Willow Creek區石灰岩坡地的Estate Grown低產果實。14個月陳釀,30%新法國橡木桶+部分1年舊桶+混凝土槽+雙耳陶罐,刻意不用過量新桶蓋過Grenache的鮮果香,不下膠不過濾保留風土質感。酒評家Jeb Dunnuck盛讚它是2017年Grenache的成功代表作,性感優雅。
TASTING NOTE BY WINE CRITICS
The 2017 Côte a Côte is a blend of 48% Grenache, 32% Mourvèdre and 20% Syrah. Medium to deep ruby, it explodes with tricolored fruits: peach cobbler, apricot, marionberries, boysenberries and crushed blackberries with accents of dried leaves, saline, blood orange peel, pink peppercorn, cured meats, thyme and dried lavender. Medium to full-bodied and silky, it slowly spreads its wings in the mouth, blossoming into lovely technicolor fruits with a floral vein. It has a pixelated frame and freshness that begs for another sip, finishing long, layered and lifted. This is stunning!
