【「香檳界嘅黃金貴族」—— Charles Heidsieck】
Charles Heidsieck係法國香檳區歷史悠久,以極致陳年同風格複雜著名嘅頂級名莊。佢既歷史充滿戲劇性同開拓精神。酒莊由Charles Camille Heidsieck 於1851喺Reims創立,Charles出身於知名香檳釀造世家(Piper-Heidsieck創始人係佢曾叔祖),係一位極具魅力既環球冒險家。1852年,佢成為首位將香檳銷往美國既商人,並喺紐約上流社會大受歡迎,被美國媒體譽為「香檳查理」(Champagne Charlie)。1867年,佢購買建於公元1世紀羅馬時期既白堊採石場作為酒窖。呢個位於地底20公尺既天然洞穴,濕度與溫度極其穩定,係香檳陳年既天堂。如今,呢個酒窖已被列為聯合國教科文組織(UNESCO)世界遺產。2011年,幾度易主既酒莊被法國奢侈品巨頭 EPI 集團收購,同白雪香檳(Piper-Heidsieck)歸屬同一個集團,持續鞏固其頂級香檳既地位。
呢款係酒莊嘅入門款,坊間綽號「低配版 Krug」或者「口糧天花板」——同價位好難搵到對手,係非常多人心目中嘅「香檳入門首選」。哈雪嘅基酒横跨7–8個年份,部分儲備酒陳釀超過10年。法定陳年最低15個月,哈雪俾佢喺白堊酒窖帶酒泥陳至少5–7年先除渣出廠。成支酒氣泡細密綿長,有新鮮出爐麵包香氣,另外仲有芒果、杏脯、黃香李呢類熱帶熟果香,再帶少少乾果同烤堅果氣息,口感情滑,酸度適中,尾韻有香草同烤奶香。
TASTING NOTE BY WINE CRITICS
Very impressive for a “regular” non-vintage Brut, not only in terms of aromatic complexity—candied citrus, dried peach and fresh mirabelle plus a hint of bread dough—but also in terms of texture, with the creamy, rich and crisp sides of the wine neatly interlocking. Long, structured finish. A cuvée that’s half 2018 and half reserve wines, some of which are a couple of years old, but many are five to ten years old, with several over ten years old. Drink or hold.
