Krug，一直被酒界稱為香檳界嘅「勞斯萊斯」。呢個來自法國香檳區嘅傳奇品牌，由Johann-Joseph Krug於1843年創立，一直堅持「極致複雜感」同「豐滿層次」嘅釀酒哲學，啱晒追求深度同韻味嘅香檳迷！

每一支Krug年份香檳都展示著特定年份嘅獨特個性——由當年最具表現力嘅基酒調配而成，之后喺酒窖經歷十幾年陳釀升華。

Krug典藏系列（Krug Collection）係Krug香檳入面最神秘亦最有哲學味嘅一條線——酒莊官方嘅定義非常詩意：「時間對Krug年份香檳嘅第二次啟示」（Time’s second revelation of Krug Vintage）。

簡單講：Krug Collection唔係另一款酒，而係Krug Vintage嘅「第二重生命」。每當Krug出一支出年份香檳（Krug Vintage），酒莊會刻意留低極少量瓶數，喺酒窖嘅理想條件下繼續連渣陳年。隨住時間推移，呢啲酒繼續演化，酵母自溶帶出更複雜嘅層次。直到Kru Cellar Master同Tasting Committee飲到佢哋覺得「嘩，出現咗新嘅面向同深度」嗰一刻，先至為呢啲瓶除渣、以Krug Collection之名推出市面——所以官方話佢係「一支 Krug Vintage 更深層次嘅故事」。

1996年係香檳區公認嘅「世紀年份」，連以嚴謹客觀聞名嘅Paul Krug II都話佢係「1928 嘅再臨」。呢支酒嘅調配比例同Vintage 1996完全一樣：48%Pinot Noir、31%Chardonnay、21%Meunier，2023年底除渣。

TASTING NOTE BY WINE CRITICS

Originating from a late September harvest and disgorged at the end of 2023 with a dosage of six grams per liter, Krug’s 1996 Brut Collection presents itself with a golden-yellow hue, offering up a rich bouquet of honeycomb, espresso roast and dried apricot mingled with quince and lemon oil, followed by a medium- to full-bodied palate that is layered and structured around a vintage-typical incisive spine of acidity. Though more civilized than is often the case in this vaunted vintage, it concludes with a saline, lemon-tinged finish. It represents an aromatically mature bottle that will delight lovers of older Champagne and serves its purpose by offering a wine of impeccable provenance; yet even if one might reasonably expect its evolution to have followed a somewhat different trajectory from that of the original release owing to its late disgorgement, there is little reason to defer opening it, as it is already drinking at great generosity.
