Escarpment于1999年由Pinot Noir大師Larry McKenna創建，人稱「Pinot Noir教父」，是紐西蘭頂尖名莊、Decanter 評選紐西蘭20大明星酒莊。2019年被澳洲Barossa名莊Torbreck收購。

酒莊葡萄園大約24公頃，坐落Huangarua河沿岸階地，擁有​兩萬年沖積礫石土（Martinborough靈魂土壤），晝夜溫差大、有海風調節氣候。全園獲BioGrow有機認證，採用重力釀酒工藝，有地下天然恆溫酒窖，酒莊非常重視风土表達、酒款架構與層次感。

這款頂級單一園旗艦酒款——Escarpment Kupe Pinot Noir，曾入選《Wine Spectaor》全球百大第7名，是紐西蘭葡萄酒歷史高光之作，經常橫掃各大酒評機構的90分以上高分，屢獲國際權威一致推崇。

TASTING NOTE BY WINE CRITICS

Intensely spicy and perfumed with concentrated notes of purple plums, cherry stones, rosemary, neroli, cloves, cigar box and ground coffee. The tannins are firm and tightly-knit, providing a solid frame to the dark fruit. Sensual and distinctive.
