TASTING NOTE BY WINE CRITICS

Delamotte’s NV Brut Blanc de Blancs, based on the 2018 vintage and complemented by 15% reserve wines from 2017 and 2016, is sourced from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Oger. Disgorged in early 2023 with seven grams per liter dosage, it offers aromas of candied lemon peel, honeysuckle and sweet pastries. Medium to full-bodied, with a rich core of fruit but a refreshing, delicately chalky finish, it’s a cuvée that, for most people, defines Delamotte. In years when Salon is not made, it’s the NV Blanc de Blancs that incorporates the fruit from the 19 parcels in Le Mesnil that inform Salon. It will be even better with additional time post disgorgement.
