【 教皇新堡必定要試既著名酒莊 】
隆河Rhone Valley南部既教皇新堡Châteauneuf-du-Pape (CNdP),產酒歷史可以追溯至1321年教宗係該區開始種提子釀酒。佢既紅酒濃郁飽滿,以香料味道見稱,而且酒區法定葡萄品種多達13種,非常有特色,更係酒評家Robert Parker最愛既產區。
Beaucastel酒莊係教皇新堡著名酒莊,早於1950年開始有機耕種,1974年開始使用生物動力自然農法Biodynamics。Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge並不如其他酒莊般極大比例使用Grenache提子再搭兩三款其他提子,而係巧妙結合13款提子既不同特質去混釀,所有提子品種都係個別採收同以不同方式發酵成酒,然後先由釀酒師去混釀,再去入桶熟成。
2020年份一如其他年份,香氣豐富複雜,濃郁果味夾帶可可豆、甘草等香料味道,而且更富紅果味道及花香,單寧絲滑充足,整體平衡甚佳,非常值得買入再擺幾年佢熟成至最佳狀態。
TASTING NOTE BY WINE CRITICS
Beaucastel’s 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape is shaping up as a blend of 30% each Grenache and Mourvèdre, with 10% each Counoise and Syrah, plus 20% other permitted varieties, including a healthy proportion of white grapes. Complex and red-fruited, with hints of flowers and garrigue, it’s expansive and richly textured on the palate, finishing long and silky.
